Wasting the time with you

As mentioned on my site, I have some paintings up downtown for Wichita’s February Final Friday. Come out to The Anchor (on Douglas) tomorrow night for ‘Keeping Secrets’!

I wanted to share some neat videos I’ve watched recently:

This Tokyo skyline video (from Boooooooom!) is incredible. It feels like riding a train along the surface of some futuristic lake world.

Because I can’t embed it, here’s Carl Sagan, auto-singing to us about the galaxies. Guest artist Stephen Hawking. (Thanks, Elle!)

This music video (from Dasmuse) is low-polygon, monochrome and awesome. Stellar ending, too.

I also wanted to point out these artists. First, Kumi Yamashita, who makes innovative art with shadows. Next, Nina Katchadourian, who sorts books, which become half poem and half sculpture. And finally, Scott Campbell, who is also a highly accomplished tattoo artist, with laser-cut money.
